I received this from a friend on facebook, it's...
and it really helps me keep my motivation in check without stressing about the housework. It all began to make sense, the blank stares, the lack of response, the way one of the kids will walk into the room while I’m on the phone and ask to be taken to the store. Inside I’m thinking, ‘Can’t you see I’m on the phone?’ Obviously, not. No one can see if...

I'm Baaaaaaaaaaack!
I’ve been so slack. I know. It has been a big year though :)We’ve had challenged we weren’t expecting to face, but the outcome has been positive. It’s changed our direction for the next few years, but that’s okay :) Darling hubby is off back to uni to finish engineering, which means that from Feb next year I’ll no longer be a stay at home mum, but rather working...

Emily: Maureen, this is my daughter Lorelai. She has a headache. They tend to make her babble.
Maureen: Oh, I'm sorry! Would you like some aspirin?
Lorelai: Oh, no thanks. I'm okay. I've had the headache for 38 years.

I won it!
The sewing machine is all mine! I can’t wait to start making cloth nappies, and quilts, and all sorts of cool bits and pieces. I’m going to have to tidy up my wee work space a bit, I’ll take a photo of it later :) Where do I find one of those ribbon holder thingee majigs, that can be attached to the wall?

D.I.Y. Christmas Decorations
thislittlepiggie:
This is my first ever year not going home for Christmas. Sad face.
To cheer myself up I bought a wee fake Christmas tree (I prefer real but our flat is too tiny for a real one) and decided to make some of my own decorations.
Here is what I did:
I used some different coloured felt squares, ribbon, beads, needle & thread.
I cut some of my black felt into two star...

I am so so so so SO excited!
I’m probably getting my hopes up waaaaaaaay to high buttttt…..
I’ve found a sewing machine I can afford, on sella.co.nz :) I can fix stuff, and make stuff, and create stuff, and I’m far to energetic about all of this for 9.31pm at night, considering I’m yet to finish my last project, Hollie’s knitted blanket. I’m getting lots of help on that one, its...
